Eviction for expansion: the building’s profitability is not bad faith

Administrative Judge Marilyne Trudeau of the Tribunal administratif du logement recently dismissed a tenant's opposition to the expansion of her dwelling which she did not consider substantial, as required by article 1959 of the Civil Code of Québec. The Tribunal therefore ordered the tenant's eviction and ordered her to pay the court costs.
