Vacancy rate on the rise, but not in all regions

According to a large survey conducted by CORPIQ in all regions, the vacancy rate on the island of Montreal jumped to 6.0% in December, up from 1.1% in May 2020. The vacancy rate has also increased in the neighbouring regions and in Quebec City, but the rental period promises to be less difficult there than in the metropolis.
