Rent increase forecast for 2023: CORPIQ estimates between 3 and 4%

Given the galloping inflation in 2022, the impact on rental costs will inevitably be higher than in recent years. It is in this spirit that the online training for CORPIQ members was an opportunity to plan for the increases anticipated by the recommendations of the Tribunal administratif du logement (TAL).

It should be noted that the TAL will announce the official schedule of increases on January 17, 2023. Housing inflation is 6.9% after 10 months in 2022. Since many will see an increase in the costs related to insurance and property taxes, CORPIQ reminds us that 100% of the increases in this regard are passed on to tenants in the calculation method recommended by the law. It is therefore important to wait for your tax bill before sending in your notice for renewal in 2023.
