Federal election 2025: ACQ, APCHQ, CORPIQ and IDU unveil their platform

Quebec and Canada are facing a housing crisis to which concrete solutions must be found. According to the CMHC, 1.2 million new housing units will have to be built in Quebec by 2030, to restore affordability.

In order to collectively provide ourselves with the means to achieve this objective, the ACQ, APCHQ, CORPIQ and UDI are putting forward 13 recommendations, grouped around four major themes:

  • Access to property;
  • Rental supply;
  • Infrastructure investment and program improvements;
  • Decarbonization of buildings.

All parties are invited to draw inspiration from this to support their election proposals on housing.

Electoral roundtable on the housing crisis

As part of the election campaign, the partners will be holding a round table in Montreal, focusing specifically on housing issues. Spokespersons from the main political parties represented in the House of Commons will be invited to take a stand on the recommendations contained in the platform. Details will be announced shortly.
