Rent-setting due to a tax increase: The Régie finds in favour of a condo owner

In a recent decision by special clerk Maître Émilie Pelletier, the Régie du logement found in favour of the owner in a rent-setting case. She granted a rent increase of over $170, justified in large part by the “considerable” increase in municipal and school taxes after the building was converted into condo units.
